Welcome
Dear colleagues and friends,
The FEBS Advanced Course is a highly anticipated scientific event dedicated to established and emerging transglutaminase-related diseases, innovative detection approaches, and novel translational strategies for therapeutic intervention. The course is designed to bring together an international community of leading academic and industrial researchers, while placing strong emphasis on the active participation of early-career scientists, future leaders, and innovators in this rapidly expanding field.
The scientific programme will feature state-of-the-art lectures covering pathological conditions in which transglutaminases represent key molecular targets, alongside sessions devoted to newly recognised disease contexts and advanced methodologies for studying transglutaminase function. Dedicated training activities will address career development, funding opportunities, and grant writing, complementing the core scientific content. Ample space will be given to poster presentations and selected short talks, ensuring broad participation and active discussion.
Set in the historic city of Padua, the course will offer an engaging environment that combines high-level science with rich cultural and social experiences. The evening programme is specifically designed to foster networking and informal interaction, while allowing participants to enjoy the unique atmosphere, history, and vibrant life of Padua.
